French rendezvous at pop-up Fruits de Mer in the Hooischuur

Just outside Amsterdam, somewhere between Broek in Waterland and Amsterdam Noord, is the home of the pop-up restaurant Seafood. Fruits de Mer? That seems familiar, right? Can be correct. Last summer the super successful pop-up took place between the vines Wijngaard de Amsteltuin to find. This winter, Fruits de Mer is back with a new location: a historic hay barn. In this hay barn you are in the right place for a taste of France (fish/cheese/wine) in 'our' Mokum. French-minded foodie, what are you waiting for? Quickly, into the hay barn!

Okay, a hay barn is nice, but which one – of the many – is it? You have to be at the yard of farmer Gert and his wife Tanja. One with lots of mood lighting. At Fruits de Mer you dive between the hay for a cozy head-to-head or French lunch with friends. Do you want to know what to expect? Upon arrival you will receive a short tour from farmer Gert and sit down at the table (in the cozy hay barn) for the winter version of Fruits de Mer. From full fish platters to warm bisque with truffle butter and crème brûlée to finish. And wine in abundance. Sounds like a party, right? We can reveal it is!

From December 5 you can visit Fruits de Mer in the Hooischuur every Sunday – in the cold season. Good to know: there is a choice of an early shift (12pm/12:30pm) and a later shift (16pm/16:30pm). Anyone fancy a return trip to France? and Hollande? Places are limited, so book (quickly) here!
