That they once had a house on Salina wilde have, Silvana had been proclaiming for years. When she retired in 2016, she managed to convince the rest of the family in addition to her husband and it took less than a year before Principe di Salina opened its doors. Because the group found the place too beautiful to keep to themselves, they decided to start a boutique hotel. Sitting behind the geraniums is not an option for Silvana — baking bread and cooking it is. And 'hostesses', because almost every evening guests are allowed to join for a group dinner on the large terrace.
