Give us a greenhouse and we're sold. Mediamatic already had not one but two. And that in the heart of Amsterdam. One grows the herbs and edible flowers that will later appear on your plate. The other greenhouse is located along the water - with a beautiful view of Amsterdam, Nemo and the Maritime Museum - and is open all days of the week as a vegan lunch and dinner restaurant. Where - completely in line with Mediamatic's values ​​- they cook with as many sustainable, organic and local ingredients as possible. But there is more! The owners of Mediamatic came up with the brilliant plan to place a row of mini greenhouses on the beautiful waterline where two people can eat, completely separated from the rest of the restaurant. Brilliant, did we say that already?

Anyone who knows Mediamatic a little knows that they stand for new developments, art and sustainability. Combined if possible. Lectures, workshops and art projects are hosted there. And there is always something new to discover. And that discovery translates into Mediamatic's restaurant. On Sunday, Monday and Tuesday they chill at Mediamatic. Then it's time for pizza from the handmade, wood-fired clay oven. Now that already sounds nice. But the vegan pizzas also have toppings such as coconut, dried shiitake sauce, black fermented beans and more unusual things. And undoubtedly every single one of them is very tasty.

The rest of the week the Italian chef serves a Chef's Menu. You only have to choose whether you want 3 or 4 courses. And whether you want non- or organic alcoholic. Of course, once again vegan and delicious, we thought. The menu is a discovery of flavors and structures. Where the chef invites you to eat each dish with your hands. Not necessary, but allowed. The taste does not diminish. In Mediamatics style, the food waste from the kitchen is composted and used again to fertilize the soil in the own greenhouse. To promote circularity.
Mediamatic is actually the restaurant of the future. With today's taste. We really didn't have Mediamatic on our radar for dinner. But it is good, nice and cozy. We say: go and discover!
