Weekend in Copenhagen? Be pampered at Frank restaurant in Copenhagen
Eating out... That's really not that difficult, especially in the wonderful city that is Copenhagen. Perhaps it is the fish that can never be fresher than in Scandinavia or the love for good food that they are all taught here?
Anyway, long story short: a new favorite in Copenhagen is definitely restaurant Frank. A restaurant in the center of the city where mainly locals come. A combination that you don't see often, but which certainly indicates that Frank is doing great.
At Frank's you are welcomed with half a glass of house wine, to get you settled in, we think. You won't hear us complaining. Then you won't be staring at the menu with a dry mouth. Frank offers a 4-course menu for a nice price, but if you prefer to choose something from the menu, they recommend 5 dishes for two. We are always in favor of because – the more you can taste.
If you do this, they are also kind enough to simply prepare the portions in two nice portions, not with two sets of cutlery in one plate, but each with their own plate. We love that – and above all, very service-oriented. Another point for Frank.
Don't forget to ask for advice when it comes to a nice matching wine. Frank knows how to deal with that. There is a choice of around 1100 wines, all of which they have in stock, which is great if you can make a choice.
In terms of dishes, we were very impressed with the toast with chanterelles, chicken liver mousse and truffle. It just doesn't make you lick your fingers. It has to be ordered anyway if you ask us.
Would Frank leave you wanting more? They recently opened a sister company (Polly) in the always pleasant Frederiksbergen, so hungry for breakfast or brunch, you can also go there.
