Coffee in Amsterdam West at Schuurmanoomkensgrassotti
Okay, handsome friend who immediately remembers this name. Even more clever whoever knows how to pronounce it. We'll just abbreviate things for convenience and just call Schuurmanoomkensgrassotti Schuurman. We think they approve. Conversely, a big thumbs up to 'us' Schuurman in Amsterdam West.
“Schuurman” is on the Overtoom in Amsterdam, right at the end of the Overtoom to be precise. Or the beginning, depending on how you look at it. At Schuurman you are in the right place for a nice cup of coffee, a good lunch (including tasty natural wines) and good pastries.
The team also served dinner this summer (2020), but by all of us Rona It soon became clear that they could better focus on breakfast and lunch. That's what happened and that is exactly what will be prepared in the kitchen from now on: breakfast and lunch. We don't think it's a bad decision at all; they do great, that breakfast and lunch.
What can you think about? Team Schuurman (Schuurmanoomkensgrassotti of course) serves a delicious fresh hangover with rye granola, or rhubarb puree and candied beets. Yum. Furthermore, don't forget to order a cookie with your coffee (we'll never forget…). The cookies are homemade and really finger-licking good.
In the kitchen (and in the coffee), milk from Moma dairy farmers is used, another nice one that suits this nice shop like no other.
Oh and did we mention that this is yet another... white label tent is? Yet another reason to visit.
