Here are three recipes that you can easily combine with a sachet of The Solution, so that you too will look good again.
Ingredients for about 6 people
250g dried chickpeas (the small dried ones are best, but if you want one quick fix then take canned peas)
5 g baking soda each time
2 garlic cloves, crushed
275g tahini
juice of 1 large or 2 small lemons
1 teaspoon salt
1 beet (you can buy pre-cooked beets or raw ones, but you will have to cook or peel them beforehand)
Extra: Parsley for garnish and a spoonful of paprika powder
Also needed: 1 food processor
Soak the chickpeas at least overnight in plenty of water with baking soda dissolved in it. Drain the peas and put them in a pan of clean water with another teaspoon of baking soda. Make sure the chickpeas are covered by about 2 fingers' width. Bring to the boil, reduce heat, cover the pan and let it cook for about half an hour. Stir and taste, because some peas are larger than others and therefore need to cook longer. They are good when they fall apart and shed their skin. Tip: keep a cup of cooking liquid aside.
Place the chickpeas in the food processor and let them cool. Add tahini, garlic, a pinch of salt and lemon juice and let it run for at least 10 minutes. Now add some of the cooking liquid to thin the hummus. Season with salt and perhaps some extra lemon juice. You can top it off with some chopped parsley as a garnish and a dash of paprika powder to finish it off.
Funky purple touch: To make a different "funky" variant, you can add beets at the end. This way you immediately have two variants. Beets also contain vitamin A, which promotes health skin improves.
For a quick lunch, you can spread this beet hummus on a Santa Maria wrap. Add some vegetables, raw vegetables and chicken fillet and off you go!
