The Night Watch: These are the easiest fall preps for your bedroom update

Hey nice, autumn. Dark early, curtains closed, cheeses and candles on the table, red wine open and early to bed, with or without a movie or series on. Don't bother us, but we love it. It is just as wonderful to immediately give your bedroom a nice autumn look upgrade to give: very nice. This is of course possible with a new bed and with other drastic measures, but there are also a number of simple tricks that give a completely new effect with just a few hours of work (or not at all). The night awaits people and these are the easiest autumnspreps for your bedroom update:

Fabrics, fabrics, fabrics

Fabrics, fabrics, fabrics

No, don't dust yourself off (yes too), but change yourself bed linen. It is, by far, the simplest, quickest and most affordable way to give your bedroom a whole new look cool to give: a new duvet cover here, a different pillowcase there and a bedspread to complete things (nice for the winter anyway). We succeed every season Auping, since the Royal Dutch bed maker has an incredibly varied selection – handsome boy who doesn't like anything!

There's a good chance that you often reach for the same color shades, right? Because you just have that one color on the wall. But think outside the box: a deep green color looks great with blue, ocher or purple and those combinations immediately give your room that warm autumn feeling.cool. Mix warm and cool colors. Opposite colors such as blue and yellow/orange secretly go very well together. Blue makes the room feel calm and serene, while yellow offers a touch of cheerfulness.

The Fifth Wall

The Fifth Wall

Happy with the color on your walls? Happy with the textiles on your bed? And still fancy another update? Then look up: there, the fifth wall, is your canvas this fall. Paint that ceiling! In the same color as your walls for an elevating effect (as if there were no end to the walls) and a instant secure feeling. Or a contrast color for an exciting and playful effect. Feels daring but real, it immediately changes your entire room cool.

Too rigorous? Then you take care of a large mosquito net, a canopy if you like, for that wonderful winter retreat: the ultimate serene escape within you master suite. Glamourous on one side and bohemian on the other.

Another headboard

Another headboard

Don't you have one yet?head board', you know, the headboard of your bed, so start now! It is, just like your textiles, an easy way to give your room a new look: did you know that you could do it? head board of your Auping bed can replace? So not the entire bed, but just a fresh replacement of the headboard. Smart! And fun.

The waved Art Deco design, as shown here, is very contemporary, but you can also achieve the effect without the scalloped edge but with (only) a velor fabric. Also nice: choose a leathercool.

Tone on tone

Tone on tone

Now we have already talked about beautiful contrasts a few times here and yes, that is beautiful too, but the chance of things going wrong is greater. It is actually quite difficult to style as your color palette all over the place is. So choose no more than three colors to focus on and a few easygoing neutrals (like white and beige) to balance out the bright choices. These can be very bold colors (pink! purple! ochre!), but it is also so beautiful to think in grayish green, blue and brown tones.

Brush at the ready? Grab some painter's tape and create 'paneling' in just a shade darker than the rest of the room. The darker color goes on the bottom half of the wall and a few shades lighter for the top portion to draw the eye upward.

Bedside tables gone, poufs back

Bedside tables gone, poufs back

Wood is harder than dust, that's obvious, isn't it? For those who want to go into winter with a softer feeling in the bedroom, swap the bedside tables for (sturdy, which is useful for your glass of water) fabric pouffes. Auping has very nice variants in all colors of the rainbow (literally: you can give the poufs any fabric from the collection and that collection is huge). Here you will find the round poufs. In any case, a purchase that you will not regret: they are useful throughout the house all year round as an extra seat and/or side table. We are fans.

Hello gallery wall

Hello gallery wall

Back with a vengeance: the gallery wall. For a long time we saw walls full of frames, which in turn were full of family snapshots, appearing everywhere in the house. Busy and rarely did a list hang straight. We do that differently nowadays: the gallery wall from now on is calm and balanced and looks perfect in the bedroom. Here too, stick to the color rule and see if you can alternate with an 'object' such as a tile, wall cupboard, wall hanging or other hanging object that may or may not represent a personal message.

Go Bold with wallpaper

Go Bold with wallpaper

If you want an understated bedroom, you may not have come to the right website... Sorry! We certainly think it's beautiful, a place for the night wrapped in beige, white and wood. Absolute. Just… It's so boring. Whoops. And so we go first bold and colorful, if possible with wallpaper. If you do that, then choose not to save but for a lot. You can make this a success by adhering to the aforementioned rule of a maximum of three colors. And don't forget your ceiling and, if possible, you head board to take with you, like Carice van Houten did with her House of Hackney wallpaper and fabric over it head board from her bed.

Pay attention to the edges

Pay attention to the edges

Granted, it's a trend, but it's so tasty! Cushions with edges in all colors of the rainbow, made from the richest fabrics. Shine! Colour! Edges! It's a simple addition of rickrack, ribbon or trim edges to bed skirts and pillowcases and yet a great result.
