Soul Valley Sardinia – soul searching and that holiday feeling in the hills of Sardinia

Soul Valley Sardinia. That clicks like a dream, right? Yup. And whose dream isn't it - away from the city, away from the rain and into the sun. To peace and space and hills and beaches and nature. But yes, give up your life completely here... That's why we find people who completely change course all the more inspiring. Who just do it. Terrifying, but wow, what energy we get from these stories!

(good news: from now on we will have an I'm leaving-like column in our newsletter twice a month. Register here)

Well, then we have the story of this Kamal and Cheraldine, who left for Soul Valley Sardinia with their entire family for the Italian Zuiderzon. After years of dreaming, saving and hard work, they have them conscious hotel & retreat center dream can deliver and man, man, man: we would love to go here! And if we are already in Sardinia, we can go straight back one of these addresses.

Soul Valley Sardinia

Soul Valley Sardinia

Soul Valley is located in a valley (duh), where the various buildings are spread across the two hills that hug the valley. There are orchards, vegetable gardens and of course that typical Sardinian landscape. Super nice, in the middle of nature. For walking, for lying by the pool, but perhaps most of all as a backdrop for your yoga sessions or your meditation moment. Because yes, you can of course do that anywhere, but this way it makes coming to yourself a little easier. However, being in the middle of nature does not mean that you have to go camping. No, think more of a hotel building, a restaurant with delicious vegetarian food, a group room, a hidden-in-the-rocks swimming pool with sunbeds, a spa, a hammam, a yoga plateau and this is just the beginning. Did we mention we'd love to go there?

Kamal and Cheraldine have years of experience in the field hospitality scene, so we can assume that they understand exactly what needs to be done to pamper their guests. Plus there is the added bonus that they can guide you in relaxing and anchoring yourself. There will be a bar by the pool with fresh tea and Italian coffee (yes!), but also a whole army of slow juices, smoothies and other refreshing drinks. And no, no hard drinks for a while, so that you can really refuel optimally and not accidentally spend half your holiday sleeping away your hangover. But don't be alarmed, it doesn't mean that you have to spend the entire holiday drinking cucumber water and turmeric tea. They have mocktails, beer and even prosecco. Let's just say, the joys, but the next day no burdens. And then we haven't even talked about the restaurant: all dishes with products straight from nature and mega-local, because from our own orchard and vegetable garden.

Team Bart likes to travel, that's no surprise. What we always consciously think about is the sustainability of our trips. For example, try to take the train more often. Or stay closer to home and make your own there holiday. Sleep in a permanent residence, something like that. The founders of Soul Valley think exactly the same way. If you want to get away for a while, make sure you really get the energy out of it. For yourself of course, but also for the planet. And okay, you probably took the plane to get to Sardinia, but at Soul Valley you stay in rooms renovated with natural materials (all of which are also equipped with energy-efficient installations). The water comes from our own source and all the food comes from own garden or from the neighboring farmers. And the best part: they plant a tree for every booking – CO2 neutrality at its best.

From June to September, Soul Valley is a conscious boutique hotel with lovely double rooms and detached guesthouses surrounded by a large garden. Sleep in and then participate in morning yoga for free or sleep in longer and do an afternoon meditation. Get a massage or take a walk to one of the breathtaking white sandy beaches. A real win-win: all the luxury of a holiday, but also all the goodness of a retreat.

From October to May (when those sandy beaches are a bit chilly even for us Dutch), inspiring retreats and training sessions take place at Soul Valley for ultimate self-recharging and personal growth. Soul Valley itself offers everything and all kinds of trainers and organizations also organize their own events. Something for everyone, because if you don't want to participate in the silent weeks, you can try breathwork. Or a leadership program? A detox week? Or 'just' yoga and meditation? So everything is possible.
