EAST op Vlieland, which is the summer favorite. Is a pop-up beach tent on Vlie. This is built up around the beginning of April and taken down again at the end of the season. All that on the easternmost tip of the island. Just not with your feet in the sand here. A nice, accessible fish restaurant with style. You can come here every day, because the menu changes daily. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening they serve a surprise menu with fish, crustaceans and/or shellfish, all with the chef's choice. Nice and easy for the choice-stressed among us.
Everything you need at a beach bar and that all year long. Nice seating areas, hanging benches and a beach chair. Of course we come for a nice place, but that makes it more pleasant with a good bite. The kitchen of 't Badhuys is inspired by the different seasons and the location. Many dishes with fish from the sea, but also burgers and spare ribs, for example. And a nice children's card, which is also not unimportant.
The 'first' Badhuys was opened in 1995 at the location between the current building and the dunes. What is special is that 't Badhuys was the first beach pavilion in the Netherlands that was allowed to remain permanently. The beach pavilion was completely renovated in 2017.
Stranded is the pavilion on the mudflats and this makes us very happy. Not only from the place, close to where you get off the boat, but also from the sturdy interior.
