Honestly? I have never found it so relaxed and fun to dress myself since I became pregnant. Okay, not 'since': at the beginning it was of course all the same - not all, but since the belly is a BELLY... No problem. Agreed: a lot of maternity clothes are still a shame, but man, there is a lot of nice stuff to be had, nice for the pregnant months but certainly also nice that you can still wear afterwards. More than fine even. A list of favorite labels. And no, in principle no maternity clothes because you would much (much) prefer to shop for nice clothes that you can also enjoy after the baby has arrived.
Leggings with wide legs, (men's) T-shirts, jackets, wide sweaters (if winter) and A-line dresses and ditto long dresses - the child can do the laundry. Oh, and, if you feel happy in it: a jumpsuit/pant suit. Personally, I am indescribable and the compliments are countless. And be sure to delve into his wardrobe, if there is a 'he' involved.
Also important: accessories! If there is a time when you can shamelessly invest in new shoes and (hand)bags, it is NOW. Shameless. Go!

For everyone who, like me, likes the hippie-esque look (but not too much): Free People. Always. And perfect for a pregnant belly. The dress in the photo here is a classic and is available in many different flavors and always comes back. A side note: don't go for the affordable items at Free People; sometimes the quality is quite shocking. Two more tips here, in addition to all the long ones, flowy dresses: there are some very good flares (leggings) that are nice and high and you can pull them over your stomach (here too: don't go for those cheap ones - cheap is really expensive) and they have very good long tunic-like blouses. They are really great and also nice with shorts. Last point: shop online. Much nicer than in the store (Amsterdam, 9 Straatjes).
Speaking of shorts: Khasto (Prinsengracht Amsterdam) has some very nice (really nice) easy peasy shorts that they sell as pajama bottoms but which are really nice with a top on hot days (I prefer to wear a wide top with them, for example the new wide tops of Love Stories)
A bit of a no-brainer, but the jumpsuit Palaver the one you see here is really very nice and remains beautiful. Very stretchy, so great for all stages of your pregnancy.
Good news: From July 1-4, 2021, the online shop Palaver will have their first pop-up shop! And also in a prime location: in The Playing Circle on Vijzelstraat in the heart of Amsterdam.
sezane has a '9 month is Sezane' department, but actually the entire collection is top notch. Long and short dresses especially (the blouses and shirts are actually – unfortunately – always too short).
For leggings, every day for 9 months: Stieglitz. Save them all. Sits wonderfully, looks good, nothing more needs to be done about it.
Not everything is suitable: the girls from Mochi They also like a nice bare midriff from time to time (nice but not for me) but there are also really delightful long and mid-length dresses that are wide and you can style (hello cord or belt) as you want. Plus: COLOR! Finally. Oh, and then you throw along the way immediately add those truly delicious baby sets to your shopping cart. Also check out the store on Utrechtsestraat in Amsterdam: you will receive excellent service there and there is more to shop for than you initially think (so just ask!). And then take a dip with the neighbors WolfWare in for really good long shirts.
Devotion through Suite Seven Suite is best for summer. Devotion has been one for a while now must go label as soon as the sun shows itself and the Dutch Suite Seven Suite has the largest collection that will arrive on your doorstep the fastest.
Atelier Felie is a Dutch label that only makes dresses on request. A little extra material for that belly? A little longer or shorter? Consider it done!
Check immediately this list with sustainable Dutch brands!
Speaking of lists: nothing beats a good vintage top or dress. Check here our laundry list of tips (and enjoy shopping from the couch).
Is winter coming? Waist coat it is!
