The Turf Tavern, Oxford, England
Okay. It doesn't get more English than this: The Turf Tavern has been around since the 13th century (or the 17th, depending on which calendar you use) and is perhaps the nicest pub in Oxford. The place is hidden away in a waddling (and mega-cute) alley just off the 'Bridge of Sighs', where the tavern decided to settle all those centuries ago, just outside the city walls to cover up the illegal activities that took place there. In addition, the tent has had many famous visitors, including former president Bill Clinton (he ''did not inhale'' here). Oh, and on top of that: delicious bites and pints. That promises something. The Turf Tavern.
