Save a meal and save with the Too Good To Go app

Do you throw away your milk or meat when it is just past its sell-by date? And are you already at the trash bin when your banana doesn't look so tasty anymore? Or do you sometimes cook way too much and throw away the leftovers? You probably guessed it: here is a little sermon about food waste. We probably all knew that we waste a lot of food, but we were still shocked by the exact amount. Namely, a third of all food in the Netherlands is wasted. And we are all guilty of this, perhaps not consciously but still. The solution may seem far away, but food waste can really be prevented without it being so complicated. Read more below.

Food waste doesn't have one cause, but many different ones. And Too Good To Go can help you identify and tackle your problem. The app Too Good To Go namely saves products that are left over from local entrepreneurs and for less than 5 euros you can pick up a bag full of products at your favorite store. For example, they put products that can no longer be sold in the supermarket, or meals in a restaurant that are left over in the app and we can save this food. In the Too Good To Go app you can indicate your preference (there are different types of boxes). The magic boxes (be surprised), vegetable & fruit boxes, bread boxes and theme boxes. Make your choice and pick up your box of food in that restaurant or in that supermarket. How much it is, what it is exactly, you do not know yet; maybe one time you have groceries for a whole week or you freeze some things and the other time you can make a delicious meal of it that evening. After all, it is all about: not wasting anything.
