Holiday scents from VACANZA
Amsterdam has another perfume house: VACANZA. And no, this isn't just another bottle for your dressing table, but a ticket to a mini-vacation inspired by the South of France, Kyoto, and the Alps. So, literally, a vacation in a bottle.
The idea comes from Jonathan Keren, who moved to Amsterdam two years ago to further develop his love for fragrance, after working in the American beauty industry for fifteen years. Together with Frank Voelkl He developed three perfumes that aren't just about scent, but rather about atmosphere and feeling. Not a literal portrait of a city, but that instantly recognizable holiday feeling, a simple slice of nostalgia.
The packaging also deserves a spotlight; VACANZA doesn't use ordinary bottles. The caps are made of a permeable, natural stone, which means that when you spray perfume on them, you suddenly have a small fragrance diffuser in your home. Two birds with one stone, and it looks great too.
The collection consists of three fragrances: Cap Ferrat (sunny, salty, sizzling), Kyoto (green, quiet, meditative) and Megève (wood, smoke, snow). Everything is vegan, cruelty-free, 20% Eau de Parfum, and packaged in bright yellow bottles—how nice!
Curious? From October 9 to November 4 VACANZA is opening a pop-up shop in the old post office at Alexander Boersstraat 25 in Amsterdam. There, you can explore and discover which destination evokes the most nostalgic feeling.
