Also known as the fish bistro of Utrecht, Sea Salt Saloon. A place where you are served pure fish without any fuss. As far as we're concerned, the purer the better, we love. The fish is caught responsibly and is as fresh as possible, which is also important to us. Our favorite spot is outside on the terrace, on a pleasantly busy street in Utrecht there are a number of tables where you can enjoy your fish dishes. The menu includes dishes to eat share, such as Baba Ganoush with raw marinated Swordfish, Tuna Tartare, Dorade (hint hint, it's really tasty), fried scallop, are you starting to drool yet? Oh and almost forgot the oysters. For this you have to go to the waiter, who will tell you what the range of the day is. As they say at Sea Salt Saloon 'Take life with a grain of salt, flat oysters and a Hermit Gin & Tonic', we have nothing more to add!
Started in Amsterdam with three locations, one in Utrecht and one outside the borders of our country in London. The Seafood Bar in Utrecht is high on the list when it comes to fish restaurants. It is a modern fish restaurant, set up by the De Visscher family. There's plenty of fish: the menu is overflowing with all sorts of goodies from the sea. Finger food, Soups, the beloved Fish & Chips, Fruits de Mer, Oysters, there are plenty of options of everything. All fish is caught as sustainably as possible and on line. You can relax there, but this is also a favorite for a quick bite. You will find The Seafood Bar in Utrecht on Stationsplein (ideal if you have to catch the train afterwards or if no one wants to be the bob).
At Blue Bar 1 it's all about the tastiest ingredients that come from our own country and especially from our own waters. They are full of crustaceans and shellfish, sea vegetables and seaweed; the chefs at Blue Bar 1 know what to do with it. You will find the business in the heart of Utrecht. The menu consists of various dishes, such as crayfish croquettes, seaweed burgers, oyster vodka, but also vegan seawharma and of course fresh crustaceans and shellfish. In the summer you can sit on the cozy terrace, where you can enjoy people watching. Inside they have tables by the window and at the bar. Sea ya!
If you are often in Utrecht, you know it, that small cozy street between the Vredenburgplein and the Oudegracht. That small cozy street is called Drieharingstraat and is also the street where your restaurant Fish&More can find. The interior on the one hand makes you feel like you are in old Marseille and on the other hand it also has industrial Touches. It is a light, high space with a concrete floor and lots of steel as details.
