Wine tastings in Utrecht, where oh where should we go?

A new sister on the block, namely the sister of Restaurant Hemel & Aarde. Really brand new, because the opening is on May 16, the wine bar will get to work. Let's be honest, Restaurant Hemel & Aarde does its name justice. So we can't wait to join the wine bar sometime. It's also a nice thought that the wine bar still works with the same philosophy as the restaurant. But then a bit more rebellious. Elegant, but still funky. And of course the usual quality, creativity and impeccable service that we are also used to at Restaurant Hemel & Aarde. And nice about this business: the wines change with the seasons. The solution is to come back more often, annoying, huh?
We start with Tasting room de LindebarA small and charming wine bar located on perhaps the most beautiful street in Utrecht: De Nieuwegracht. At the very end, after passing all the old and stately houses, you emerge onto the Singel, where Proeflokaal de Lindebar can be found on the corner. The bar is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 PM until the atmosphere is good (which is already great, isn't it?) and on Sundays from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. You can go there for a wine tasting, but also for a whisky or port tasting; bookings are available for groups of 10 or more. You are certainly welcome as a couple, but then you will have to join another group. The more the merrier, as they say.
Why Slope9 – a wine bar in the heart of Utrecht (the cozy part, near the Zadelstraat for anyone who knows Utrecht) – the ideal wine bar is because of the special 'walking wine list'. In other words, the waiter who walks through the place. You tell him what you like (fresh and fruity, for example, or spicy) and he comes with two (or three) bottles of wine. You can taste them both and choose the wine that you like best. No success? Then they just try again. And here too you can have a delicious highwine follow. The most delicious wines are pulled from the cupboard and the best snacks are put on the table. Can be booked from two people for a price of 39.95 euros.
It was the first wine bar in Utrecht and it is still a very good one. Located in a small, nondescript street opposite the busy Neude square WineWine. The wine bar has wooden benches in the front where you can spend the entire evening with a bottle of wine on the table, but with two people you can also sit at the bar. VinVin has more than thirty open wines that you can choose from, and they are all good. You can go there for an open wine tasting, which they do every first Sunday of the month. Or you can book a tasting yourself, which is possible for eight people or more.
A household name for Utrecht residents, highly recommended for non-Utrechters. In the heart of the center (so no chance of getting lost). The bar of Lefebvre is small, but everyone sits together as if each high table is a kind of bar where everyone can sit. And that is cozy. The wines come mainly from France, Italy, Spain and South America, but they are certainly not boring. Oh, and don't forget the cheese board, it is to lick your fingers! They regularly organize wine tastings for which you can register, so keep a close eye on the site!
And this one doesn't really count because you can't do a wine tasting there, but we still want to mention it: Sec Wines. This wine shop can be found in a side street of the Neude (around the corner from wine café Lefebvre). Here you can score the tastiest and best wines that have been chosen with great passion by the owners. They often have collaborations with restaurants that organize a wine festival. You can buy a ticket for these events and this way you will come to the nicest places with the tastiest food and you can taste the best wines. Highly recommended!
