In Utrecht Oost, achter het Wilhelmina Park, vind je een schattig bakkerijtje; District is de naam. Er heen gaan is een goed uitje voor een zonnige dag, dat is een belofte. Het is namelijk een feestje om de overheerlijke citroentaart geserveerd geserveerd te krijgen op een mooi houten plankje (op de details wordt goed gelet) met een kop Bocca koffie on the side. Maar bovenal is District een bakkerij met een uitgebreide selectie van brood, taartjes, cakes en koekjes vanuit het hele land. Sinds kort kun je zelfs kiezen voor gezonde glutenvrije baksels. Het ontbijt van District is ook al errug goed te doen en kan door de week (dinsdag tot zaterdag) vanaf 7.30 uur genuttigd worden. Op zondag vanaf 8.30 uur (nog steeds behoorlijk op tijd). Last but not least: de simpele, Scandinavische inrichting is een cadeautje. It is a small cute bakery hidden in the neighborhood of Utrecht Oost behind Wilhelmina park. I love to cycle there on a nice sunny day if I feel like having a little treat. I especially love their lemon custard pie served in a cute wooden frame and a cup of nice Bocca coffee along. But District is above all a bakery so one finds a thorough selection of traditional breads and pastries as well as cakes and cookies from all over the country. Newly one can also opt for healthy gluten-free sweets. The breakfast at District also sounds great, you can pop by on your way to work as it is open from 7.30 Tuesday to Saturday and 8.30 on Sunday. Last but not least I enjoy the somewhat simple, Scandinavian design inspired interior design with a big wooden table in the middle that brings guests together or suggests a lovely family brunch together.
