16 x Oysters Amsterdam
Oysters to celebrate something or just because they are oh so delicious... Always possible. Moreover, oysters go hand in hand with a glass of bubbles, no? Or oysters with a fishbowl of a gin and tonic on the sideOf course, that is also possible.
Panache – The menu shows what can be cooked and brewed from the market (from the Ten Katemarkt, because that is where Panache can be found), and cocktails are also on it, because that is what the men of Panache do best. But this was about oysters. You can order them individually at Panache, just to add them next to the cocktail(s). Panache
The Seafood Bar – Oysters, where else than at The Seafood Bar number 1 (Van Baerlestraat), 2 (Spui) or 3 (de Ferdinand Bol)? Big fat Amsterdam favorite, not least because they also serve bubbles by the glass, several variants. Thank you. The recipe is the same for all three: seafood, seafood, seafood. And therefore oysters. After the oysters, there is still plenty of choice for, for example, a shrimp croquette or delicious crab legs. The Seafood Bar
Café Caron – Enter. To the bar. Oysters. Don't do anything about it anymore. Or yes. Order many more. And that much more is not necessarily fish: there is much more on the menu, all worth it. More about that here: Cafe Caron
Brut de Mer – Oh oh oh Brut de Mer, every time I go home with an empty wallet. Because besides the fact that your entire bar is full of oysters, of which we want to eat not two, but eight or more, there is so much more on the menu that needs to be tasted. Especially the scallops. Especially that one. And also a glass of bubbles. Broke yes, but happy. Brut de Mer
Fishing – On the Rozengracht you will find Pesca, a fish restaurant, recovery: fish theater that can be praised for its concept alone. You have to be prepared for this: when you enter, especially during the weekend, you may have to join the back of the line with your coat in your hand, even if you have a reservation. You first have to visit the fish market at the front of the store where you choose your own fish (oysters!) and have it weighed before your order goes to the kitchen. An original concept, super friendly service, genuinely honest, accessible prices and delicious food. Fishing
Visaaandeschelde – Because Visaandeschelde. Different types of oysters and also prepared in different ways. Lobster, caviar and many other delicious fish dishes. Visaandeschelde
Bistro Neuf – Because Bistro Neuf. And Bistro Neuf is top notch when it comes to a classic night out. Bistro Neuf
BarBAUT – in the south, close to Stadionplein and with a nice terrace. You almost forget that you are at a (sometimes) busy intersection. This is because of the good bites, the friendly boys and girls and the oysters. About three times a year they also offer unlimited oyster eating for a very reasonable price. Bowls of oysters are constantly placed on your table at a brisk pace. So keep an eye on the website. BarBAUT
Bar Fisk all kinds of fishy goodness, and therefore also oysters. All really good too. Bar Fisk is just a bit away from the Albert Cuyp, so first stroll around and then join us.
noordermarkt – only during the market on Saturday, so plan well. But then you can stock up on all your groceries for the week and end it festively with oysters and a glass of bubbles. Will be opened for you on the spot, both the oysters and the bottle. Always busy, so you shouldn't be in a hurry.
Gebr. Hartering – rough French, if that makes sense. Always good, if you eat everything, and old-fashioned whatever you can buy. Fortunately, this also applies to the oysters. Gebr. Hartering
Kaagman & Kortekaas – In the middle of the city, quite a pleasant surprise, which also applies to the (usually) friendly bill. You can dine all evening, but you can also drop in (preferably at non-peak times) for a good glass of wine with oysters. Kaagman & Kortekaas
Fish shop Peter Tol – you have come to the right place for all your fish, and certainly also for your oysters. You will find Peter Tol just before the second bridge to Java Island (a good pit stop if you are going for a swim and want something to snack on), but what's great is that you can also have oysters delivered to your home via Thuisbezorgd (and much more, by the way). The more decadent couch nights, let's just say. Fish shop Peter Tol
John dory – very good food, that's what you do at John Dory. They are a fish restaurant, but if you prefer meat or vegetarian, that is also possible (provided you indicate this when booking). Finishing with oysters is a must. John dory
Jansz. – nice and central and you are immediately close to one of the most beautiful courtyards in Amsterdam (the one at the Pulitzer, you can walk there in no time). At Jansz. you can just order a dish for yourself, but you can also throw on everything from the table to share a little. Oysters come by the dozen or so. Jansz.
The Oyster Bar – Last but certainly not least: The Oyster Bar. Not to go, but to arrange for when you have a party. Not your most budget snack, but certainly the tastiest. From Oesterbar
