On the cozy Beukenplein in Amsterdam East, in the building where Rotisserie Oost and Mama Dough were previously located, the doors of Massalia Restobar have opened. This French-Greek gem promises a delicious mix of Mediterranean flavors, an extensive selection of wines, creative cocktails and above all a casual, relaxed atmosphere. Behind the kitchen is chef Kremmydas, who with his Greek roots will soon share his culinary arts with us. Outside you can sit perfectly in the sun that shows itself from 13 p.m. and only disappears in the evening. Also relaxed, the lunch menu is also the dinner menu and can therefore be ordered all afternoon (handy for early eaters or late lunchers). The tip of all tips? The delicious courgette fritters but also the beignets are finger-licking delicious. Are you going an evening without alcohol? The homemade lavender lemonade is delicious.
It's a bit of a strange chicken... Eh, a duck in a row Gangnam Chicken East is actually really fun. And tasty ones. The title of the store already reveals what it is about: Korean chicken, of course. fried and the good child.
On the Beukenplein in Amsterdam East, the sixth member of the Fam. Goudvisch opened its doors: Leo. This new addition, in addition to well-known establishments such as Bonnie, Arie, De Neef van Fred, Moos and Polly, is a café, bistro and bar in one, complete with a spacious terrace. As with the other locations, the charm of the brown café is central here. If Leo turns out to be just as good as the rest of the family, then we've definitely come to the right place.
One of the things about those 3 Wise Men from the East, from you-know-who Lold Louie, Bukowski, Bar Basquiat, the beer garden, Bar Botanique and soon Caravan (just to name a small selection). Such a tasty one no nonsense (food) café where you can go for a good cup of coffee, a thick sandwich, a good special beer, or a Satay Ajam from chicken thigh. But they are also known for their famous pub quiz on Mondays.
