New: restaurant and wine bar Clos in Amsterdam East
Are you keeping an eye on our list of New and Not to Miss Restaurants in Amsterdam? We provide a weekly update and every now and then we highlight another one. Because it is possible and just fun. Like this one: restaurant and wine bar Closed in Amsterdam East. Open since March (and then Rona happened) and now I'm really ready for a game again wines, wines, wines.
So let's get back to the already oh-so-fun part Beukenplein. Wine genius Rutger De Witte opened a wine bar here, on the corner restaurant Clos and let us be very good at wines, food and wines and then food again. With a glass of wine. Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign (we think it's cool), the renovation of Clos was a success. And the title wine bar describes it well: there are more than 100 different handmade wines on the menu, hallelujah! Moreover, they won't be crappy wines; Rutger has worked in the wine industry all his life: he had a... job at Grape District and he also advised several restaurants on the wine list. In addition to wines, you can also eat there, for example, Rutger wants to serve the best charcuterie board in Amsterdam #wellike.
10 points on paper. We came by, spontaneously, while it was pouring rain outside, we thought the service was a bit erratic, but hey, there may have been a stone in the wrong place or something. We'll be back because we're almost certain this was a one-time mistake.
