Achilles Heel, New York (Brooklyn)
An old school bar where a dock worker would feel at home, that was the plan for Achilles Heel. But they, dock workers, are hardly around anymore, so it became a hip crowd that found its way to the pub. There is no extensive kitchen, but there is charcuterie cut on the slicing machine behind the bar and liver sausage from the Brooklyn butcher Marlow & Daughters. This is the kind of place where no one will look strange if you order a cocktail at eleven in the morning. Achilles Heel
