If you only have a short time in Groningen, go to this coffee and lunch room: De Groene Stoel Groningen

Did you know that we have a Groningen bird? In the 'a little bird told us' variant? Is so. She has Liza and she 'really doesn't need any credits!'. But we do that because Lize (@LiseLente) always informs us about the best places in her own Groningen. Mind you: she is critical ("we have so few really good coffee and lunch rooms here, I would almost start a Giro 555 campaign for it" - her words). And there is a new address that actually came through the Lize balloting committee: coffee and lunch room De Groene Stoel in Groningen.

The owner of The Green Chair Groningen (look how nice!) has worked in the catering industry for years and you notice that in everything. She uses all the best coffee from the area (the best coffee from... BLACK and Bloom, bread from the best bakery in the area and so on). And there is also a social aspect: she will train young catering tigers who are not having the right time in the kitchen. And the nice thing is: you won't notice that when you eat it! (nice, such a social aspect, but it has to remain tasty, wink). So much for this hymn, on to Groningen!
