The nicest (and tastiest) bakeries in London
A pit stop at a bakery for something tasty and a cup of coffee is one black when you put on your walking boots in London. Fancy something sweet or something savory? You can indulge yourself at these bakeries and then continue walking with a full belly. From sandwiches and pastries to a classic croissant or a bagel. Tadaa, the nicest (and tastiest) bakeries in London.
A household name in London is the bakery Jolene. The first location can be found in Hackney, but now there is the tiny bakery on the corner of Redchurch St. It is a cute little bakery with a peach-colored facade. No tables inside, but there are some benches outside where you can sit in the sun. What can you expect? Good coffee, delicious pastries (the walnut-carrot cake is highly recommended) and friendly staff. You can grab your own pastry and your cup of coffee will be presented to you through the window. The perfect place for a quick coffee to go, but be aware that after your visit to this bakery you will not be able to sing anything other than Dolly Parton's Jolene.

You'll have to be lucky to get a spot at this extremely popular bakery in Covent Garden, but you can also go here for coffee and food to go. Of course, it's busy for a reason, and that reason is that they have some really fantastic treats. An entire display case full of the most delicious baked goods from which it is almost impossible to choose just a few things. Arome is characterized by combining classic French recipes with Asian ingredients. The highlight is the Honey Butter Toast, a thick and soft shokupan bread with a crispy honey layer. You already heard it, definitely worth it!
This Jewish bakery on Brick Lane is open 24 hours a day, so you can even come here for a late night snack. You may have guessed it already, but the bagel is the focus of the bakery and there is one that everyone is lining up for: the Salt Beef bagel. Homemade bagels that are baked fresh every day, salty meat that is extremely tender, sharp mustard and pickle. But you can also enjoy other bagels and sweet pastries here. Don't expect a fancy place Beigel Bake, but embrace a piece of East End history in all its glory.
