Bassin de la Villette is the place to cool off in Paris
Who thinks there is no clean open water in Paris, think again! And no, we are of course not talking about the Seine. We are talking about Bassin de la Villette, located in the 19th arrondissement in Paris. This Paris Plage has reopened its doors for the summer of 2024 and has been doing so since 2017. Best of all? Entry is completely free! You can visit there this summer from July 6 to September 8, 2024.
At Bassin de la Villette the choice is enormous. They have a large swimming pool of 2 meters deep, a swimming pool of 1,20 meters deep and two paddling pools for the kids of 40 cm deep. Ideal. While you're swimming, you don't want to worry about your belongings that you leave behind. Don't worry: there are lockers available. Tip; If you do not have a euro coin with you, you can ask for a loan coin at the counter.
