To be honest, Gelderland remains a bit of a forgotten province for me personally. Not as holiday-like as Limburg, not as vast and rural as Friesland, not as fanciful as Zeeland and not as 'coming home' as Brabant. Call it a forgotten province. My loss, as it turns out, because it turns out: in Gelderland you can go for many nice, undiscovered places to stay. Such as B&B de Groenlanden. In the middle of Dutch nature, not far from the village of Ooij in the heart of De Groenlanden, the most beautiful part of the Ooijpolder, near Nijmegen, owner Nicole runs her warm B&B. Hikers, bird watchers and cyclists will certainly enjoy it, but the beach (!) and oh so many nice restaurants are close by. Although you might prefer to retreat together to the cozy house for two. No one to see, no one out. Or it must concern the garden, around the outdoor fireplace. From there it is no more than a few steps to the relaxation area with bath, toilet, shower and seating area. Don't do anything about it anymore. Plus: do nothing! There is a small oven in the house, but you cannot cook there. That's not necessary: ​​for a small additional charge, Nicole will bring you a very generous breakfast or even a romantic dinner. Negatives? Not really, unless you really hate having to go outside for a pee. Because the toilet is outside. Although, to be honest, we also see the romance in it.
