Boutique hotel in The Netherlands, Delft

Hotel Arsenaal by WestCord, Delft

Hotel Arsenaal Delft has a wild history, for which fortunately you don't have to read the books, but actually just go. For example, part of the hotel used to be the storage for cannons, firearms and other weaponry.

The name says it all: Hotel Arsenaal Delft (by WestCord) a boutique style hotel in the middle of Delft - the (student) city known for its history, bustle and lots of fun (in other words never going home again!). On a weekend trip with the feeling of holiday and plenty to discover, say no more! Hotel Arsenaal Delft has a wild history, for which fortunately you don't have to read the books, but actually just go. For example, part of the hotel used to be the storage for cannons, firearms and other weaponry. Fortunately, the only noise you may hear going off now is that of your own hangover when you visited the Gastrobar a little too enthusiastically (formerly intended as an armory, now for a stiff drink).

That Gastrobar is the right place for great gin & tonics. Where herbs and spices used to be stored here for trade, you can now find them in your cocktail. Circle around. Bring your drink, sit down in front of the robust fireplace, order some snacks and have a drink. Got a bit pink? Then maybe it's time for a little power nap in your king-size bed or step into the rain shower. Turn on the music and use your suite pad to order some room service (did someone say champagne?).

Location, location, location

Hotel Arsenaal is located in the heart of Delft and is easily accessible by public transport, bicycle, car or simply walking. The hotel is only five minutes from the train station and a ten-minute walk from the Vermeer Center Delft. So just leave your mountain boots at home: it's time to stroll here.

No matter how much you want to curl up in your bed all day, have drinks in the bar or splash around in the shower: you are in Delft! A must to explore the city because there is so much to do: view Hotel Arsenaal from the water (not swimming) with a boat tour, visit the Old & New Church, Museum Prinsenhof or the Delftse Hout - such a nice piece of greenery and water near the city. Walked out? Then of course there are also plenty of terraces, small cafés and restaurants where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or an extensive dinner. For example, in Hanno's colorful living room, where they collect dishes from kitchens all over the world. Put on a chef's hat, put on your backpack and go, as they say. South Africa, Mexico, Thailand, Peru to Sri Lanka. Beer fanatic? Then visit Doerak: on the canal and twelve beers on tap that change regularly. Or at Locus Publicus, a typical brown café, pipe-late style. With a few somersaults you will be back at Hotel Arsenaal Delft in no time.

The eye wants something too

Upon entering you have the feeling that you have ended up in a Vermeer painting, but no: just with both feet in Hotel Arsenaal. A hotel with a picturesque and historic appearance, without being old-fashioned. Just handsome and classy actually. Different dark, warm colors and large wooden beams work well with modern details such as the hanging fireplace and U-shaped sleek bar. Also nicely done: bricks everywhere. Both the walls and the floors are that shaded red/orange, and that contributes to the warm and cozy appearance.

Stuffed and drunk? Then it is high time to take a break and relax in your room. These are brighter and sunnier than the lounge, but often with those beautiful beams. Stylish and with an edge of history. It is not without reason that Hotel Arsenaal was chosen as a national monument or pride of the city (you want to sleep there!).

Keffers and Kroost

An extra bed can be arranged in the Superior Room or Suite for a small fee. This will be a bit too tight in the other rooms. After testing the large comfortable bed and taking a leap, you will (certainly) not be able to get the kids out of it - it will be a fun night! No matter how much the yappers want to join in; unfortunately peanut butter.
