The tastiest pancakes in Amsterdam (if you don't make them yourself)
We love the old Dutch pancake topped with syrup and a good dose of powdered sugar (guilty!). Okay then... the American Pancakes, banana pancakes, basically everything in this category makes us very happy. Just one thing... does that first pancake always fail for you? Then do yourself a favor and visit one of these addresses. Or just try them all! We don't judge. These are the tastiest pancakes van Amsterdam (if you don't make any of it yourself).
Coffee & Coconuts is a wonderful place anyway. Here you can have breakfast all day long (yes, really: all-day brunch). The Coconut Pancakes are the tastiest. Made from almond and buckwheat flour and mega fluffy. The pancakes are topped with a silky coconut cream and are anything but dry. Oh, and did you know that a second location will soon open in Amsterdam South? In any case, we are very happy with it!
Moak Pancakes has three locations, so there is always one nearby (very convenient). They serve real ones here American Pancakes, both great classic like mega loaded (think: a thick dollop of whipped cream, ice cream, peanut butter or a good load of bacon). Looking for a plant-based alternative? Vegan pancakes can also be ordered at Moak!
In the middle of the Pijp on the Govert Flinckstraat. Mr. Stacks has the best, most over-the-top savory pancakes (read: BBQ Chicken, but also for the vegans among us a Plant-based gyros stack). Bigger fan of a sweet pancake? No problem, here too the choice is huge. Try the Dutch Apple Pie stack or Cinnamon rollercoaster stack. (PS: stack is indeed stacked here, so not a meager plate, but value for money!) This is where you want to go for the ultimate hangover food (or just masterful pancakes).
Do you really feel like pancakes? Then do yourself a favor and enjoy it all-you-can-eat pancakes on De Pannenkoekenboot. This is not only very tasty, but also a great outing. This cute little place is super centrally located, right next to the Spuistraat. The Happy Pig doesn't have a lot of seating space, but... who cares when you serve the most delicious pancakes? So grab yourself a pancake or eat it here if there is room. The real Dutch pancake, as we (secretly) prefer to see it. Vegan and low-gluten options available (so nice).
Something for everyone here. Flat Dutch pancake, fluffy american pancakes and poffertjes (poh). Each of their locations offers a choice of gluten-free, lactose-free and Vegan pancakes.

If you prefer to eat a pancake in peace and quiet, outside of Amsterdam, be sure to visit Restaurant Hendrik. This is a pancake house in a former coach house with terrace and garden. Here you will not only eat a very good pancake, but you will also be amazed!
