Blue Tea House is a tasting room at Brewery 't IJ in the Vondelpark
Small places are being bought up by large companies, the brown pub is almost gone and sometimes just too much changes. It's all the better to notice that some change is actually good - when you don't notice it and what you notice has gotten better. Bravo Brouwerij 't IJ in the Tea House in Amsterdam's Vondelpark. Where it is still called the Blauwe Theehuis, but with a better beer selection.
The staff was taken over by the people from Brouwerij 't IJ and it was decided that the first year would remain as much as possible the same, with a little extra and that worked out well. The outside remains blue, the terrace stays where it is and we actually don't feel all that much of the changes. Yes, you don't have to pack your bags at 20 pm anymore when you're just chilling in the sun. Hello. In fact, after 20 p.m. you can sit back and drink a range of the best Amsterdam beers. There will even be an evening menu (yes, flammkuchen!).
And so Brouwerij 't IJ, next to the mill in Amsterdam East, has once again acquired an iconic Amsterdam building. Honestly? No better party could have come in if you ask us. Now quickly open the terraces again and a Flink in the sun. Cheers.
