It's almost impossible not to fall in love with the region Piedmont in Italy. It's a rural paradise of rolling hills dotted with vineyards and picturesque medieval villages and towns. Vineyards, yes, and many believe the world's best (red) wines originate from this region. This terracotta-colored dream in the heart of Piedmont is a hotel where everything is just right. Langa House is the name you'll remember. The hotel has 39 bedrooms, all equally beautiful, some with a garden or large terrace, others with the most wonderful bathroom you've ever seen, equipped with a Dyson hairdryer and Le Labo shower products—who doesn't love smelling like that? There's also a wellness center, a swimming pool, a top-notch restaurant, and, oh boy, a fitness room.

But the spa is an absolute must. The massages are among the best you'll ever experience, there's a sauna with a hot tub, and a relaxation area that you can use privately during your stay.

In the evening, you'll dine at Fàula restaurant, which is fantastic, to say the least—how could it be otherwise in this area? Fàula offers a menu that relies heavily on local ingredients, including hazelnuts, mushrooms, and truffles, often sourced from their own gardens and greenhouses. Classic and modern cuisine go hand in hand here, with an eye for sustainability. The wine list? It's almost intimidating. Bottles costing thousands of euros? Check. But thankfully, there's also plenty of choice starting at €20. We appreciate that.

The focus on wine is no coincidence: the owners of Casa di Langa are also the people behind the Vietti winery – a well-known name in Italy. Enjoying a bottle of Vietti on the terrace at sunset? Highly recommended.

The Piedmont region is, of course, beautiful, but honestly? Feel free to just stay at the hotel for a few days. Doing nothing here feels like an activity in itself.

Casa di Langa is an investment. And is it worth it? Every penny.
Prefer not to empty the piggy bank? Get a day pass: relax by the pool, browse the wine list, order a treat, and hang out until the spa calls. Even without an overnight stay, it's highly recommended.
