Casa do Conto, Porto
In other words: the house of stories. The hotel owes its name to the architectural 'detail' that runs across the ceiling of the entire five-storey building. It tells the story of the building itself, and that of historic Porto where Casa do Conto is located. Furthermore, it is mainly concrete that takes center stage, but in combination with beautiful, warm colors and fabrics such as dark blue velvet and cognac-colored leather.
The district itself is not the hippest and busiest, but that is perhaps just as nice. During the day, seek out the hustle and bustle and in the evening, enjoy yourself with your own company. Porto is small, so you can walk anywhere within fifteen minutes. Plus, around the corner on the square is Presuncao e Agua Bente and you actually want to get the chocolate cake there every day.
