Rosa et Al Townhouse, Porto
A weekend (or longer) in Porto is the perfect remedy to escape the Dutch cold, or the perfect trip to look forward to. Anyway: Rosa et Al Townhouse is the ideal hotel for a weekend or (mid) week away. The small hotel, or as they say, the mansion, is hidden in one of Porto's artistic districts, where you will find art galleries and art studios. Wonderful to wander around here after lazing in your bed all morning.
The classic house – including wooden floors and vintage furniture – has six spacious suites. Favorite suite is the Suite Queen Deluxe City. On the second floor - in the former living room of the mansion - a suite has been converted into a nice place to stay with a fireplace, vintage furniture and a classic claw-foot bath. In the suite you will also find (a few) bottle(s) of homemade wine. Also on the second floor is the Suite King Grand Deluxe Garden, a veranda suite with fantastic views and, bonus points, an extra-large bed. That large bed is perfect for breakfast in bed (hello room service!), but don't miss brunch on the weekend either. No standard hotel brunch here, but pancakes, French toast and poached eggs with salmon on toast.
