Amsterdam's Annemieke van Beek has created a very special concept. Her works are sculptures – for the wall or standing – in white, black and brown. The artworks have graphic shapes and because of the depth differences they play with light. Now the works in themselves are special, but the uniqueness lies in the price of the works of art. Art in Return does not charge basic euros for the work they deliver. But something tangible or an experience in return. This could be a night in a hotel or a photo shoot. An evening of dinner with friends or something beautiful that someone else makes. Art in Return stands for more things that really make you happy - such as a beautiful work of art on your wall - and for a life where it is less about money. Special, right?

A friend tipped us off about Merel Laura. Except that she is with the Haarlem team Vintage Curators - and is probably doing more fun things in her life - she also makes the nicest embroidery. Works of art on rustic linen with fine color combinations in different embroidery. Merel Laura does not have a website or special Instagram for these works. But spamming her via Instagram DM will probably work just as well to get an original embroidered work of art on your wall.

Even more graphic 3D work. And this time very affordable. We have known Edith Beurskens for years – her sense of style has always been present. She does graphic design, creative concepts and interior design. And works with the most beautiful brands such as Casa Gitane, Marie Stella Maris, Egenstill and was one of the founders of #Ihavethisthingwithfloors. And yes, she now also makes her own works of art. The artworks are made from vegetable PLA with a 3D printer. After which the top is finished with sand plaster and then painted in cream, brown or off white. More colors – such as lilac and old pink – are on the way. Edith Beurskens' works are available from €95 and come in a nice frame. Nail in the wall and you're done.
