Time to pamper someone: Father's Day June 21, 2026
Father's day 2026 is coming, and this year we have another nice list to give your partner, your father, your bonus father or just that nice man in your life a little extra love. Because let's be honest: fathers are also sometimes a little forgotten (shame on us). Don't we all think they deserve an even bigger smack sometimes? Yes, they leave everything lying around and loading the dishwasher remains an issue, but we also just love them very much.
And yes, even the intended father, the not-quite-father or the one who has to miss his father deserves a warm moment. Unpacking is allowed, but not necessary (but is allowed). A good gesture or a special outing can do wonders. You can read everything about how to make him happy here. No thanks. As far as we are concerned, this is how you do Father's Day 2026:
At Hitch Hike, the restaurant at TRIBE Den Haag Centraal, every father receives a second drink on the house on the 21st with the order of a drink. A very good reason to enjoy an extensive lunch or dinner together. Let's be honest: ultimately, the best gifts are often the things that create the most beautiful memories together. And why not at Hitch Hike? Where you enjoy the West American atmosphere and the farm-to-table thought.
Definitely take your father (figure) to The Hague sometime: so many great places and things to do. Need tips? We've got them. Read here .

The Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam has come up with a mega creative and, above all, very tasty Father's Day gift for you. A rolling, rolling, rolling workshop. Sushi, that is. In an hour and a half, you and your father will learn to build a hosomaki, uramaki, and temaki, which you will, of course, enjoy eating yourselves afterwards. And it doesn't stop there. You also get three motivating glasses of sake from the sake expert. Sake? Yes, you know the one. That (on social media) oh-so-popular one. traditional Japanse alcoholic drink. Made from fermented rice. Sounds crazy, is tasty (give it a try). So, one of the three locations of the Japanese restaurant in Amsterdam, on June 21 at 14 PM.
Book here your tickets for 29,50 euros per person.
From the Yard – Attention Sneakers: on Father's Day, you can eat oysters at Van de Werf for 1 euro each. Perfect to pair with a fresh mimosa or a spicy Bloody Mary for 7,50 euros. Off to Amsterdam-Noord.
HEAD – What do you give a father (figure) who already has everything? Exactly: not material things, but a good piece of côte de boeuf. Especially for Father's Day, TÊTE is serving a substantial côte de boeuf with a carafe of wine for €60. Eat together, have a good glass to go with it, and you're all set.

The brunch costs 119 euros per person; children up to 7 eat for free, and the rate for children aged 7 to 12 is 72 euros. A fun way to celebrate Father's Day together. Not finished drinking yet? You are welcome in the Vault Bar, in the same building, from 17:00 PM onwards.
What do we give to the fathers? That question always seems just a little trickier than: what do we give to the mothers? In comes the Father's Box. A box specially developed for fathers (to be) that are often a bit forgotten. In these boxes you will find a mix of relaxation, preparation and quality timeA specially brewed dad beer, a father-themed book full of relatable stories, earplugs for sleepless nights, and items to create moments together, such as a Pathé gift card or a deck of cards with questions to truly connect. You can choose from various curated packages, such as the premium box, or put together a Father Box yourself that perfectly suits your dad. Top tip.
Still looking for a fun outing with the kids for Father's Day? Then Move Amsterdam is the place to be. The interactive exhibition Move Lab, for children aged 6-12, is free to visit all day for all moms, dads, and guardians on Father's Day. Move Lab is set up as a real laboratory where you can discover and do. Build a car, take your very first driving lesson (very safely, of course), do a sim racing workshop with your dad, and learn about all the latest developments in cycling. Finished looking and playing? Then settle down at the always cozy Wils Bakery Café for a treat and a drink to make the day complete.
namely a sim racing workshop together with your father on Sunday, June 21.
For fathers who love good food, a good glass, and a pleasant walk: this is fun. During the Wine & Dine Walk, you discover your own city (or another) in a new way. You walk a beautiful route past at least six lovely spots: from cozy wine bars to restaurants you might not normally step into. At each location, you are served a dish with a matching glass of wine. From Maastricht to Groningen: check here check if there are still tickets available and in which cities you can join (because sold out means sold out). Perfect for fathers who love Burgundian indulgence, without the fuss. Oh, and the Wijnspijs doesn't necessarily have to take place on June 21st, of course. It's also nice to give as a gift in advance.
Practical, beautiful and a gift that will last for years: a leather bag. The Amsterdam bag brand O My Bag also has a beautiful story. The bags are made in an ethical way with care and a fair price for the makers and a small footprint on the planet. There are leather weekend bags, work bags and bum bags (never again his stuff in your bag!). Also nice are the bags made of vegan apple peel leather.
Flip-flops with a built-in beer opener, yes really. This classic from REEF has been a cult favorite for years, and rightly so. Comfortable on your feet, handy at the bar (or at the campsite, boat or in the garden). So don't panic if you don't have an opener with you: just use your sole. Gimmick? Maybe. But also just brilliant. You have them in even more scents and colors, shop and view them here.
Sometimes you just want to scroll through a list of things you'd like to have yourself. Our gift guide for men is full of cool, original and useful gifts. From stylish grooming sets to adventurous outings and gadgets that your father himself would not buy so quickly. Also handy if you are looking for your partner, brother or grandfather.
In any case, a really great place to pull up a chair with your dad (or another father figure): Bar Advocatuur in the Rosewood Hotel in Amsterdam. At the first one, you discover the (quintessentially Dutch) story of jenever, the distilled spirit that shaped Amsterdam's rich trading heritage.
Price: 125 euros. More information here.
Or discover Provo via the single-sip selection, inspired by Amsterdam's rich heritage and enduring rebellious spirit. A welcome glass of Champagne first, followed by a journey through cocktail history with three expertly crafted mini-cocktails.

For dads who love beer and stories: book a tour through the Bavaria Brewery in Lieshout. You will learn all about the brewing process, smell fresh hops, taste roasted malt and discover how beer has been brewed with love for 300 years. Between the brewing kettles you will hear the story of the Swinkels family and of course you will also get a tasting.
Nice detail: you end in the tasting room, where you can immediately stock up on some cold gold for home. Not a Bavaria fan? No problem. There are similar tours all over the country at various breweries such as Duke Jan or the well-known Heineken experience. Because beer + a day out = always a good idea
The shelf in the bathroom is no longer occupied by just 'our' beauty items. No, my boyfriend and father also know how to take better and better care of themselves. Cremepie here. Gel there. We like it. Barts Boekje wouldn't be Barts Boekje if we didn't respond to that. So here's one skincare tip gift list for men. Don't mention it!
Barbecuing on a boat? yes please. At BBQ Betuwe step aboard a round boat with built-in grill, cool box full of goodies with a choice of fish or meat (or vegetarian) and an electric motor that silently carries you over the Linge, the longest river in the Netherlands.
