Gys, Utrecht: organic comfort food at its best
What do we want? Tasty food! How do we want it? Organically responsible! Bee gys that's no problem at all. The restaurant has two locations in Utrecht, on the front street and the Amsterdamsestraatweg – both of which have been brand new renovated. At Gys they believe that sustainability and good food can go hand in hand. One thing is certain: you will eat very well here, regardless of whether you... vegetarian, vegan or just curious.
Join us straight from Utrecht Central Station for breakfast, take a walking break during lunch or enjoy a drink on the cozy terrace, Gys is the place to be. The menu for breakfast and lunch are the same and you will find dishes such as shakshuka, pancakes and our big favorite, Ruffle my Truffle: a sandwich including fried oyster mushroom, truffle mayonnaise and Parmesan cheese.
In the evening you can choose from four larger dishes for dinner. You can also go here for a high tea, a good snack board or even a hair salon (vegan and gluten-free). Nice to know: the new physical menu is made from roadside waste to further emphasize their sustainable vision. How cool!
