Sometimes you don't feel like dining for hours in a very expensive restaurant with six million courses. Okay, exaggerating is also a skill, but you get the idea. We just like to sit in restaurants without fuss, eat good food and that it is also fun from a wallet perspective. There are also restaurants like that, dear people. Simple and delicious. Everywhere, and this time in Utrecht. The Pizza Bakers is the name. 3 guesses what they serve you. Correct. The good way.

What you may not have known is that Utrecht has four (!) branches of De Pizzabakkers. We don't think it's crazy at all, because the concept is rock solid. It is always pleasant, never expensive, the menu changes regularly (so you can join us often) and De Pizzabakkers scores a lot of points in terms of quality: for example, all sausages and hams come from Italy. The Ham is aged for 12 months and the coppa d'Abruzzo is also slightly heartier and firmer than the average due to a slightly different ripening process cup. And you can taste that. We like!

And don't think that you know every Pizza Baker once you've had one. No no. Every Pizza Baker does his own thing, also in Utrecht. This is how De Pizzabakkers is in the front street (the heart of Utrecht) perfect for first laying a foundation and then going wild in the disco, or when you, three Utrecht, going on a pub crawl. Pizza and prosecco (okay, or a cocktail), a well-known recipe from De Pizzabakkers, seems to have been invented here.

On to location number 2: The Nachtegaalstraat. This is the place to be if you have something to celebrate and want to take the entire rataplan with you. For € 11 per person (what are we talking about) you can come here with all your lovers & friends food and different pizzas are put on the table. Small side note: You must bring at least 11 mates.

The cutest branch of De Pizzabakkers is located on the Twijnstraat in Utrecht. The motto here is 'small but nice' and therefore it is the location for one first date. Tip of the day: order the Antipasti misti per due; that's just as delicious as it sounds. On your plate bruschetta, Italian cheeses, burrata with peppers and ham. Finally, fresh from the pizza press, De Pizzabakkers is on the Croeselaan-Brederoplein. This is truly a neighborhood restaurant where all locals find a spot after work/study.

Good to know is that all restaurants are also fun (mega!) for kids. For example, you can ask the waiter/waitress for a ball of dough so that the duckweed can form. Very nice!

To sum it up: At De Pizzabakkers, also in Utrecht, you eat, guess what, pizzas. There is an endless amount of choice, but if you want to be sure, take the pizza of the month of December 'tartufo via' with truffle mascarpone. One where you just don't (or do) lick the plate. Finish the pizza by ordering a glass of prosecco (will cost you a measly €3,75). Now that we are in the truffle corner, every Thursday in December you can order a two-course truffle menu at Nachtegaalstraat and Voorstraat. So it's almost over, let's move quickly!
