Channel 30 Utrecht

Uh yes, just a somewhat negative kick-off: I don't really care for the un-Dutch term 'creative hub' in every way (too haughty, too look-at-us, and what exactly is a 'hub' anyway?) and I would like all the so-called creative hubs in the country to stop calling themselves that. In my opinion, the term detracts from all the good that such an address has to offer. And why that booth? No, you don't need that at all, now that you have nice Channel 30 in Utrecht, right?

No, we prefer to take that part of the Channel 30 meeting point that we like most and highlight it. Restaurant Marcus in this case, a bright, sunny cafe-restaurant on the canal (what's in a name) in a striking (nice word, I got from the press release, credit where credit is due) architecturally built building that used to be a printing house (industrial splendor!). You can join us all day long and the first images look great (that light! that height!). We haven't tasted it yet, but that's a matter of time.

And Restaurant Marcus does not come alone. Not at all. Kanaal 30 offers space to a large handful of creative Utrecht entrepreneurs who have their studio or studio here. And where creative people go, there follow the bands, the workshops, where people can buy and - of course - eat and drink. That rule is as old as the road to Rome (is that an expression? I'm sure it is).

Anticipation comes in the form of The Color Kitchen on Tour: this club will open its training center at Kanaal 30 this summer. And small and large events are organized every month in a nice mix between business and cultural.

The opening party is on Saturday, June 23 between 12.00:22.00 and XNUMX:XNUMX.
