Kitchen & Deli, Utrecht
Wednesday evening = wanting to go out for a bite and a drink, because it's almost the weekend. Although we can just as easily get that bite in the house, because it's not the weekend yet. Even if it's just a piece of cheese, okay, and wine. Because that breaks up the week so nicely. And so: the best Wednesday cheese-wine tips, every week, out and about, you're welcome.
One of our favorite spots in Utrecht is Keuken & Deli, on the Oosterkade (where Good Friday en Broil sitting). Just for the fantastic interior that is reminiscent of a French bistro. The restaurant is, literally, one big open kitchen. As if you are entering someone's home. The tables are between large cabinets with cookbooks, bottles of olive oil and wine. Speaking of which, a good place for cheese and wine.
Why do we love Keuken & Deli so much? You can choose your own cheeses. Sounds difficult, but it isn't. The staff will be happy to help you. They know exactly what each cheese is. Delicious with French bread. And date chutney, ooooo, so delicious.
And for when the weather is nice again (still a long way off, but we don't want to keep this tip from you): the Borrelbakfiets! (YEEEEES) Keuken & Deli comes to you with a cargo bike with various French and Dutch cheeses and a (few) bottle(s) of wine. Kitchen & Deli
