Everything you need to know about home exchange platform Kindred

Home exchange is hot. And happening! Not that it wasn't once... But still. As we speak is it really 'on' again. Whether you want a cozy apartment or a villa with all the trimmings: living like a local on vacation is what we want. For your next city trip to Paris, London or New York—whatever is on your mind wishlist state—you swap your spot with someone who wants to discover the best of the Netherlands. Before you know it, you're in the coolest house ever, right in the middle of your dream destination. The platform on which you do that? Home exchange platform Kindred. Without a doubt. All ins & outs can be found here:

How it works?

How it works?

First things first: your own place must first be accepted by the people of Kindred. House swapping works according to the quid pro quo principle: only if you open your home to others, you can stay in the most beautiful, luxurious homes yourself (we hope!). And not only that: you can also save credits when others sleep in your home (one credit per night), which you can then spend during your own city trip to – say – London, Milan or New York. By the way, you really need those credits to be able to book a house, because it is not possible to buy more (but no worries, you start with five credits). In short: it all starts with opening up your own home, and then earning points (credits) by making your home available for a swap.

No costs?!

No costs?!

Pfff… And if you think “this already sounds good, what's the catch?,” then we make it even better for you: you also come home to a clean house. For the trip, you only pay service and cleaning costs, so no expensive overnight stays. It also doesn't work like anyone can just waddle in: you always approve your guests first via their profile. Extra handy: linen, towels, toiletries, everything for your guests, is arranged at your home. Because your home is not a hotel. And that cleaning schedule? That is of course also fixed for you. Are we fans? I thought so!
