Nice seating area: this is how you create a chill lounge area at your wedding
Don't forget: your wedding is - in addition to a wonderful one - also a long day for your guests. We are often tempted to focus entirely on a dinner, styled down to the last detail, and a fantastic party. But forget those little moments in-between not. When it comes to parties, you probably have a mixed crowd: your best friend can't get you off the dance floor, while your (grand)parents and that one very pregnant friend can only be attracted to a few good songs. It should remain fun for them too.
How do we achieve that? Well, by creating a really nice lounge area (not just a few chairs together). A nice lounge immediately gives the (yet) non-dancers a place to find each other, so the opportunity to chat with each other is very important. Take into account the placement of the lounge area in relation to the band or speakers. Last but not least: good view of the dance floor, because we like to watch monkeys.
What does that look like? Well! Here five Pinterest inspiration for a nice seating area at your wedding.
Create a sea of tranquility by adapting your lounge area to the natural tones in the environment. Provide nice mood lights, style it with flowers, candles and lanterns. Chic and chill: what more could you want?

Rule 1 of being on a budget: it never has to look like you on a budget are! Renting too expensive? Loot the local thrift store or ask your guests if they have a retro item in the attic or shed. Complete the living room feeling with some (twilight) lamps. Collect, mix and matching it is. After the wedding, you return everything - except for the borrowed items from your guests of course - to the thrift store. So nice and sustainable.
This one is for the interior geeks. Go for light colors curves and sharp lines, tres chic. Looks even better in a contrasting environment. Like here, nice and rural on a lawn, but in a sleek tent.

Lots of space? Or are your guests not really dancers and would you prefer a smaller and intimate dance floor? Then this one setting perfect. Surround the dance floor with several nice seating areas, vary in sofa-chair combinations. Big plus: this also invites you to move occasionally and join another group.

We really like this one! Large sofas, thick soft cushions, chunky boxes as tables and lots of flowers. A centrepiece that you cannot ignore next to the dance floor. You just want to crash here. It is guaranteed to invite the dancers to come and hang out with the non-dancers.
