Throughout Rotterdam you will find the nicest lunch places. The great thing about Rotterdam is that you can find a nice one in every neighborhood lunch hotspot can find, or two or ten. Whether you want to be in the center having lunch or beyond. We've made a list that will probably keep getting longer and longer. This is the Rotterdam lunch list.
"This must be the place“ is written on the door as you step inside. And Arend is right. This new daytime spot on the waterfront in Historic Delfshaven is exactly the place, and it just so happens that it is one of our favorite neighborhoods in Rotterdam. Walk through Delfshaven and then step inside EXCLUSIVEAn old brown pub transformed into a vintage and stylish hotspot. The savory French toast is highly recommended, the menu is full of surprising vegetarian and vegan options, and the drinks are anything but standard. A rhubarb espresso tonic or an iced matcha? Yes please. On Fridays and Saturdays, the doors also open in the evening, with regular live music and chess tournaments.
The name says it all: sunny. And that is exactly how Sun feels. The newest addition to Little C, founded by two sisters with a nose for atmosphere and a love for good food. Fresh, light, and with an aesthetic that makes you automatically pull out your phone. The menu revolves around all day breakfastFrom açai bowls to crispy flatbreads with Mediterranean influences. Order the Turkish Eggs Flatbread with garlic labneh and don't forget the homemade pastries not. Tip: take it to go Come along and stroll to the park next door. Now that's a good morning.
The Noordsingel in Rotterdam is definitely worth a visit. The canal is a very good start for a nice walk. At the beginning, at number 39 you will find Mecca. At Mecca you will find a variety of people and food and they love to create original combinations of taste, such as their homemade passionfruit & pepper lemonade. The completely vegetarian cuisine is inspired by the streets of the Middle East. You come here for tasty drinks and delicious fresh meals, prepared with organic products.
Eat, snack, have lunch. You can do it all at Markthal Rotterdam. In this iconic building (a work of art in itself), you will find 100+ food spots under one – very colorful – roof. You in the mood for a poke bowl, but your company for a pizza or something Indian? That’s no problem at the Markthal. Haven’t reserved yet because you have no idea what you’re in the mood for? That’s fine too. You can always find a seat somewhere and sample something from one of the many (world) cuisines. Inside the hall, the food spots also offer a terrace where you can sit comfortably, and there are additional restaurants in the plinth where you can always pull up a chair. While tasting, be sure not to forget to look around at the artwork above your head. You can’t miss it.
You will find it in the center of Rotterdam picnic. In fact, this is where they gave the go-ahead for the opening of nice lunch places in Rotterdam. Picnic has been a household name for years and they do not disappoint. You can enjoy their surprising dishes seven days a week. Tasty sandwiches, good coffee, and for those visiting the location on Vlietlaan in beautiful Kralingen, there is a nice place for your children to play. Is it too crowded inside? Then go sit outside on the spacious terrace. Jordy's Bakery has no fewer than four locations in Rotterdam.
Create a urban bistro in Rotterdam South. That sounds good, right? What you can expect at BY AMI? A colorful restaurant with tasty bites. When you think colorful, don't think of a color here or there, but you will be immersed in an oasis of color and prints. All very well coordinated. You can go there for everything, from small ones bites to tapas. They serve dishes from all over the world. Oh, and that concept went so well that a location in the city center has since been added. Enjoy.
Maybe not a place you immediately think of when you want to have lunch, but... served Does not disappoint. From delicious coffee to really well-filled salads. They have two locations on the Coolsingel and one in both Westblaak and Meent. A nice place to sit when you want to take a break from your shopping spree through Rotterdam city centre. From the terrace, you can enjoy some great people-watching.
Pink, blue, gold and prints all over. At Savor&Nosh You step into a colorful paradise. The kind where you sit down for a pizzetta or pancakes. Great news: this spot is located near the Meent, right in the city center. The perfect place to take a break from shopping. By the way, it's also ideal for a business lunch.
No 10 Coffee is a Rotterdam coffee shop through and through. It is not without reason that number ten in the name stands for the city code 010, and the green colors in the logo and on location also stand for Rotterdam. It is therefore not difficult to guess the owners' favorite city. And we agree with them in that. You should head to Hoogstraat not only for some love for the city, but also for homemade croissants, filled sandwiches and lots of delicious coffee.
You will find it in the Provenierswijk and therefore close to Rotterdam Central Station BooonThey serve good coffee, generously filled sandwiches, and one of the tastiest banana breads in Rotterdam. The cozy atmosphere makes it the perfect spot for a chilled Sunday afternoon, and the location means you'll want to cycle up and down in between work. Tip: after work, you can stop by here for an Aperol Spritz and a (non-)alcoholic drink.
