Mexican restaurant Madre Amsterdam (Jordaan)
Big thumbs up for that Mexican cuisine (also see 15 x Mexican restaurants in Amsterdam, you're welcome) and there is news in Amsterdam in that regard. A Mexican restaurant opened on the spot where Cinema Paradiso restaurant used to be housed for many years (Westerstraat, Jordaan, Amsterdam). Madre Amsterdam. That is quite good news, because anyone who knows the location (of the Cinema Paradiso restaurant) knows that it is a top spot and a nice, large business (hello 1,5 meters). Plus: never enough of Mexican! And especially when it concerns a two-point-zero version, with Amsterdam-Jordanian flair.
We were already big, very big (!) fans of Bacalar and Coba Taqueria, both in Amsterdam North, we would like to make a spot in our favorites list for Madre Amsterdam. Because of that location, yes, but of course even more so because of the delicious tacos and, above all, thanks to the fresher than fresh guacamole that, yes, is prepared at your table. And further? Furthermore, a leading role for exciting cocktails, genuinely good and original vegetarian options and delicious enchiladas. gogogo.
