Maison Seraphine – the nicest B&B in remote Laon, France
Maison Seraphine needs little explanation. A quick glance at Instagram and you'll dream away at this wonderful French, vintage yet cheerful interior. Maison Seraphine is run by a couple with a child who live part-time in Seraphine and partly in their other house Maison Sollier - which can be rented as a whole (can accommodate 15 people).
The B&B is located in Laon, a village that is unlike any other must see is. But there are plenty of fun things to see or do in the area to keep you entertained for 2 days. This is what a visit to Reims is like black, you can go to Axo'Plage. A beach with all kinds of fun play things (made of wood, without too much hysteria).
You can easily book at Maison Seraphine via Instagram or via the website. Child can do the laundry. Before checking in you will receive the code for the house so you can check in yourself - we like that.
The beautiful building is located in the center of Laon. A small village north of Paris (1,5 hours drive), which makes it a great stop if you go to Paris by car, but don't want to drive too long. The village in itself is not very interesting, but is beautifully situated on a large hill - giving you a panoramic view.
Maison Serpahine has a small garden (during our visit it was closed due to private use by the owners. A small loss in the middle of summer, but that should not spoil the fun, because the interior compensates for everything). Lots of color, lots of vintage and therefore a lot of fun.
Upon entering you immediately come across the playroom on the right - a paradise for you kids with actually toys for all ages. They keep them busy for a few hours.
The living room is cozy and welcoming and the most delicious breakfasts are prepared here in the morning. Pain chocolate, fruit, delicious cheeses, cakes, fresh local apple and pear juice and of course baguette.
The couple will love to help you with local tips, nice places to eat or other necessities.
