Corona or not: nothing stops you from getting inspired
Joe, we're back with a delicious dose of wedding inspo (if we say so ourselves)! A big fat wedding bash It's not possible at the moment, unfortunately we can't come up with a trick for that, but you can daydream about it. Come knock on your door Myrthe will arrange it, because they know (plural yes! 'Myrthe' is a team, you've read before here) how to keep the pink cloud candy-pink. Because, as you may know: planning a wedding takes quite a bit of time and let's talk about that the actual event yourself. A wedding in prospect brings with it a lot of anticipation and we can now best, er, 'spread out' that anticipation for as long as possible (doesn't sound nice, but you get the point)? And There you go, this is also arranged by Myrthe and supporters. The credo: live towards your future wedding in steps, because it will happen. Really.
Step one, creating a mood board. At Myrthe Regelt it is the task of the day and custom mood boards have been made for it for years le future hubbies. The result is a bulging file of inspiration. That exact file has now become such a wonderful collection that the team occasionally browses through. Now let's share that wonderful feeling with you: Mini Myrthe Controls The Moodboard Madness here at Barts Bruiloft.
The mood boards are largely made with images of your own styling and, where necessary, supplemented with sketches or images Pinterest (top tip this one, let's Pin the (corona) days away). The goal when creating a mood board is always to bring the concept to life after an initial conversation with the soon to be married peeps. An important part is text. Long story short: lots of images, color, but also text, almost like a kind of script throughout the day. Which suits Bart well. Bart Reist, Barts Boekje and therefore also Barts Bruiloft. Match made in heaven!
Ok, here we go with the first one. A golden oldie from a while back...
The mood board shown here was handmade for the happy couple, Bart & Ben, one American and the other Dutch. While Ben especially wanted a lot of flower arrangements, Bart wanted a more raw Brooklyn-vibe party. Looking back, the complete plan still covers all the wishes of both men, which makes it all the more fun to look back again: timeless this.
Via the inspiration page, Myrthe's task was to provide a direction and a framework within which the men could then choose a realistic interpretation. Just take a look look at the photos of the final wedding, you can almost taste the atmosphere from the inspiration page. It is never an exact copy of the mood board, but a feasible and realistic interpretation.
Everything comes together in this image. How a location, which is often decorated more romantically, can suddenly become popular with the right styling sophisticated Brooklyn vibe and gets the right edgy edges. How talking to a customer really creates a personal mood board. How by challenging customers with their own ideas, they can often become even more enthusiastic. And especially how such a flat mood board always comes to life. The best thing about the job? One of the most special…
And then we close with this wonderful image of Bart & Ben, back then newyly weds, because a happy bridal couple linked to a mood board is the best end to this journey...
