In the exhibition Mighty Maas (until August 29, 2021), Servé Hermans shows four faces of the river: the Maas as muse, monster, mother and murderer. You are taken into the romance of the beautiful landscape, after which you end up in the pain of Limburg due to the many floods. A little later you catch your breath in the comforting lap of Mother Maas to prepare yourself for the confrontation with man as a polluter of the landscape.

The Limburg Festival is the oldest theater summer festival in Central Limburg. In the summer, Central Limburg is transformed into one large open-air stage with a wide range of theatre, theatre, music, opera, mime and dance. Maarre... The Ode to the Maas promises to be a unique experience - you will be sucked into unique stories about the villages and places around the Maas. How nice!

There is also adventure to be had in Limburg for the active ones. How about cycling or walking along the Maas, while gazing at the enormous works of art that you find along the route? For walkers, there is a long-distance walk of approximately 137 kilometers along the Dutch and Belgian banks of the Maas.
