Coffee shop Yusu in Amsterdam East

Dear team yusu, we are already in the starting blocks here in the week of September 14 (now) you can get coffee from you in Amsterdam East. And for the Surinamese snacks. And for the shirts from The New Originals. And to admire the handsome interior. We're eager. See you later. Greetings from team Bart.

Ps: no team Yusu? Then quickly scroll down for text and explanation.

The creative creatures, best friends and also owners Kick and Nicole will make coffee in their own Yusu. Correction: Kick is mainly the coffee tapper and Nicole the baker. Nicole provides the Surinamese snacks in Yusu. We love. In addition, Yusu also works with a small menu where you should think of an easy snack such as tarts and cupcakes.

Yusu (not to be confused with the Japanese citrus fruit Yuzu) stands for seriously good coffee. And that serious again refers to seryusu or in short Yusu (a slang for serious); you get it. And if we can believe Kick (and we do), you will soon be sitting here with your coffee. Why? Kick has tons of experience. As a 15-year-old boy, Kick worked at Two For Joy Coffee Roasters and learned the tricks of the trade here. But you may have also seen Kick working as a barista at THE MEETS or Frederix.

Now about the looks. Yusu is tight, clean and slick. A bit Scandinavian, but influences from Marrakech are also reflected in the interior. A mixture, and that is also Yusu's target group. Kick and Nicole would prefer to see the tent full of people from all levels of society, including different nationalities. A place for everyone.

Where to find? Right next to the AMFI (the school for fashion peeps) and on the spot where the breakfast/lunch shop Boterham used to be. The Andreasbonnstraat in Amsterdam East to be precise.
