The best collection of catering and co-working spaces: PAKT in Antwerp
Somewhere between the heart of Antwerp and the former military hospital lies the Groenkwartier, and its vibrant heart is PACTWhat used to be a collection of warehouses is now a creative hub, with restaurants, workspaces, urban farming (rooftop garden), and much more. It's a bit reminiscent of Brooklyn in terms of vibe, but much greener. Everything is industrial, dark red brick, lots of dark steel, ruggedly attractive, and raw. It's also a relatively undiscovered area among tourists, but that might be because it's quite difficult to reach. PAKT is completely car-free, so if you're still visiting, take the bus!
PAKT isn't a place for your average coffee shop or quick sandwiches. Start your day with a coffee or matcha at Caffenation PAKT. For brunch, join us at Root, where they only use seasonal dishes, so if you fancy a regular hamburger, you're definitely in the wrong place or make a reservation Van, a plant-based restaurant for dinner from Wednesday to Saturday. Fancy pizza? You can! Standard!
In the evening, PAKT transforms into a place for drinks: from a nice pilsner at the Special Belgian Taproom to cocktails on the terrace at Bar Goesting.
PAKT is more than just a restaurant. It's also a place to work, exercise, and relax. Co-working spaces, meeting rooms, creative studios and event locations, all available at PAKT. For example, for gym classes you need to CrossFit have something to spare, because there is a hefty price tag to exercise here (€130 per month) or do pilates at LOFFT.
And then we haven't even talked about the city farm Located on the roof of PAKT, you wouldn't know it from standing there, but this rooftop farm is a whopping 1800 m², quite large for a rooftop vegetable garden. On the rooftop farm, you'll find vegetables, herbs, fruit, and even chicken coops and beehives. Tip: tourists aren't allowed on the roof, only with a guided tour!
It's all about the friendly atmosphere at PAKT. A well-known location for local entrepreneurs and creatives. With farming practices literally on the roof, a green oasis in the middle of the city, and a mix of business & pleasure.
