Amber op 't Zuid feels a bit like sneaking into the home of three friends with exceptional taste. Thomas, Kwinten, and Ties have transformed their minimalist wine shop into a place where natural wine takes center stage, but above all, the atmosphere lingers. Plenty of bottles to explore, and often original finds you'll want to take home right away. It's small, lively, and always pleasantly buzzing. Before you know it, you're sitting with a glass in hand, a plate of food, and absolutely no intention of leaving anytime soon.

Not only known for their wine (Giraffe also serves cocktails), but also a truly charming spot on Marnixplaats that you shouldn't miss. The wine-red awning and blue chairs on the terrace immediately catch your eye. Always a pleasant place to sit, both inside and out. Two sisters with the same dream who make everything feel spontaneous. And those small dishes? Perfect for lingering a while.

Even better: at the end of 2026, Giraffe is also opening a restaurant, right next door to the current location. 10/10, already.

At Kasteelpleinstraat 57 in 't Zuid, a stone's throw from restaurant Le John (still our favorite neighborhood in Antwerp), wine bar Millesime opened in late 2025—an understated, chic wine bar for those who appreciate truly good wines and the accompanying extensive commentary.

For those who love books and a good glass of wine, Luddites is the place to be. Two bookworms have filled a beautiful townhouse with, of course, books. After choosing your favorite book, you can walk up the stairs to the wine bar with a city terrace. The selection of wines changes with the seasons. Want to stock up on your favorite to take home? Spiridon on Kronenburgstraat is definitely not your average wine bar. Nikolaj Kovdal – yes, the one from Fiskebar and Fiskeskur (see article 'Antwerp? On to the new restaurant Fiskeskur') has created a place where natural wine and character take center stage. From a glass of house wine to a rare bottle from the cellar, everything is served by the glass, simply because it's possible. The kitchen serves adventurous dishes with fermentation as the main ingredient. This is also a place for interior design enthusiasts to linger. Clay walls, old mirrors, and an original wooden butcher's refrigerator now used as a wine cellar add to the charm.

Osaka aan de Lei is the kind of wine bar you want to visit even if you're not looking for a classic wine bar. It's owned by the same people as Camino, that small Asian restaurant that always manages to surprise, so the atmosphere and quality are absolutely perfect. The interior is sleek, minimalist, and industrial, and the natural wine selection is extensive and always interesting. Perfect for an evening of discovering something new. If you're getting hungry, Just sit back and enjoy: the sharing platters are surprisingly delicious. This wine bar is a favorite with many Antwerp locals.

Sebastien and Aram transformed the corner building on Sint-Paulusplaats into a neighborhood spot with character: a great atmosphere, a fine selection of natural wines, and a chef who creates delicious dishes. The wine list is attractive and accessible. Incidentally, it's also a bar and bakery: you can come here all day long for whatever you're craving.

Rocco is one of those wine bars that immediately charms you: small, cozy and two hosts They make you feel like you're visiting your neighbors. Everything is seasonal and local, with dishes perfect for sharing while a good glass is poured. Maud and Marie-Charlot run this cozy wine bar with a lot of love, and you can really feel it.
