Paea Amsterdam: Greek skewers bar in De Pijp (opening November 2026)

The same man behind wine bar Vin Fou on JP Heijestraat in West (opening September 2026) and neighborhood favorites Gitane and Massalia (East) has yet another new establishment in the works: Parea, in De Pijp. The plans of chef Angelo Kremmydas, a serial hospitality entrepreneur from Greece, who has worked behind the stoves at Ottolenghi in London, among others, and will soon do so in De Pijp. The doors open in November.

Paea will be something different from the norm, namely a contemporary stick bar. Okay? That is basically just food on a stick. Small dishes, cooked over the fire, to share: parea is Greek for 'good company', the group of friends you stick with for hours. We like that.

Add up Vin Fou, Gitane, and Massalia, and Angelo's count will soon stand at four businesses throughout the city. Yamas!
