Neighbors We’ve known the one on Kortekade for years, of course. But did you know there’s a little sister too? Bar di Vicini on Lusthofstraat in Kralingen. Same family, but just a bit more laid-back. On the menu at Bar di Vicini? Mediterranean dishes to share, of which you are guaranteed to order a second plate.

Think of antipasti, tapas, main courses, and desserts, handwritten on the chalkboard. Whatever comes in goes on the menu, so it changes regularly. Pizzas are available too, and you can even take them home. But honestly? The dishes on the chalkboard are the real reason to come.

In the mood for a drink? Bar di Vicini has a substantial list. spritzersSo drinks are quickly arranged here. Prefer wine? The menu leans towards Italy, with excursions into Spain and France. Start with a glass of Prosecco di Valdobbiadene and then go for the Valpolicella Ripasso, which they serve simply by the glass. Is there something to celebrate? Then order a bottle of Barolo or Amarone. We won't settle for anything less.

You are just as much in the right place here for a quick bite on the terrace as for a long evening at the table. Inside, you sit on rattan bistro chairs at small round tables, with white napkins and a candle on the table. It is cozy, the tables are close together, and as soon as it gets dark, the candlelight does the rest. Ideal for a data, but just as nice with a friend and a bottle of wine.

Are you coming alone, or do you want to see the hustle and bustle of the neighborhood? Then grab a stool at the long bar by the window and look out onto the street. On a sunny day, you will naturally sit outside. Bar di Vicini's terrace is located right in the middle of Kralingen, so here you don't look out at tourists, but at the neighborhood.
