Get out and about (and cuddle with pigs) at the restaurant and nature playground POF Amsterdam (Amsterdam-Noord)
Opened in June 2021 POF Amsterdam its doors on the green grounds of Noordoogst (a small-scale and sustainable agricultural project) on the spot where Stroop used to be. Would you like to enjoy a delicious and very local meal in Amsterdam (Amsterdam North to be precise)? Then you are there POF Amsterdam at the right place. The kids are also very welcome and can enjoy themselves in the nature playground.
The brand new restaurant is located in an old football canteen. But what's in a name, because the restaurant is not called pof for nothing. No-no, of course there is a reason for that. This way the dishes are cooked in one eye catcher from an oven at a temperature of 300 degrees. As a result, the restaurant actually uses an old, classic preparation method that reflects the spirit of the times of locally grown and freshly prepared food. That will take some work for the chefs, but then you have something. At POF we only work with local ingredients and products from the region. On the menu you will find many vegetarian and many vegan dishes. A big plus is that you can relax on the cozy terrace when the weather is nice.

Oh and if you'd like to enjoy or peer at the production of wine (while you're just sitting at your table), POF the place to be. City vineyard No Chateau Amsterdam is the restaurant's neighbor. Haven't had time yet Bar Piquette on the IJ to visit to taste the forbidden drink? No problemo. Because POF serves 'piquette' with beaucoup d'amour. Tip of the veil: if you are here, try the homemade apple pie with a twist. Before the cake goes into the oven, the apples are lovingly popped. And the cake is perfect too vegan! What's not to like?
Nothing not to like for yourself, but anyone with kids can have a lot of fun: there is a large and very nice nature playground, there are toys everywhere, the whole thing is delicious asshole proof without making it too obvious and… Well, you shall see. Party for everyone.
