Restaurant Heritage is run by a 25-year-old (yes, really!) female chef. She originally comes from Germany and after wandering through Peru and France - working in two-star Michelin restaurants - she fell head over heels for the ever-charming Belgium. She opened this restaurant and gave it a Latin American menu; a bull's eye. To be fair: the formal and casual looks of the place are not necessarily typical and a dimmer on the lamps would not be out of place... But it is charming and warm. Even more important: the hospitality is on, the food is delicious and oh-boy the accompanying wines are heavenly. No stress of choice, because you can only choose from one a la carte five-course fish or veggie menu, which changes often. Vegetables and fresh fish are central to Heritage. Here you get the two-point-zero version of enchiladas or dishes like rye fin with fancy vegetables. Believe us: heavenly. The dishes are beautifully prepared and have that little bit extra.
